SJD airport transfer (AI incl.)

* Source: Air Canada Vacations live listing, YVR → SJD, Dec 28 2026 → Jan 4 2027, 2 adults + 2 children. Includes flight + hotel + airport transfer + dining at 3 sister resorts via free shuttle. Snapshot: April 2026. Cross-quote Costco Travel — currently promoting 5-night packages with $350 instant savings + $50 resort credit. Sometimes beats ACV on Pueblo Bonito inventory.

The "beach is for looking, not swimming" resort. This is the biggest single thing to get right about Sunset Beach before you commit. It sits on a Pacific bluff with dramatic sunset views and a home beach that lifeguards red-flag most days — undertow. The workaround is the free hourly shuttle to sister resort Pueblo Bonito Rosé on Médano Beach (20 min), where the water actually behaves. Your AI plan covers dining at all three Pueblo Bonito properties — so you can shuttle over, eat at a different restaurant, swim, and come back. Sky Pool is the showpiece: a two-tier infinity 250 ft up with sunset whale-watching in winter. Biggest trade-off guests name in 2026 reviews: the timeshare pitch is aggressive and repeated — pool staff, concierges, welcome meetings. Decline politely at check-in and stay firm.

The pattern: praise is staff-driven (Alvaro, Carlos, Omar, Roberto, Marcos get named); criticism is product-driven (dated rooms, timeshare, WiFi fees). That's a tell.

🛏️ Rooms & Inclusions

  • 635 suites, all ocean-view — Junior (538 sqft · king or 2 queens) → Executive (1,088 sqft · 1-BR/2-BA sleeps 6, the family pick) → Super Executive (w/ terrace Jacuzzi)
  • Every suite: private balcony/terrace, fully-equipped kitchenette (fridge, microwave, cooktop, coffee — no oven), feather-top beds, marble baths, satellite TV
  • AI covers all meals/snacks/premium drinks, round-trip SJD transfers included, and dining at both sister resorts via free hourly shuttle
  • Kids Club (4–11, $11 USD/hr — NOT in AI) + Fun Lab for Teens 12–19 — real teen programming, unusual in Cabo AI
  • 6 outdoor pools · Armonia Spa (upcharge) · Quivira Golf (Jack Nicklaus, green fees extra ~$400 USD)
  • ⚠️ Timeshare pressure real + repeated (2026 reviews) — 90-min "presentations" pitched as free boat tours / "50% off your AI." Say no firmly at check-in, decline pool approaches, never hand over a deposit
  • ⚠️ WiFi in rooms has been called out as a surprise fee — confirm at booking

🏖️ Beach & Sister-Resort Strategy

  • Home beach: Pacific · not safely swimmable. Strong undertow, lifeguards red-flag most days. Walk-only.
  • Free hourly shuttle → Pueblo Bonito Rosé on Médano Beach — swimmable water, walk to Cabo Marina & Arch boats. Book shuttle in advance peak week.
  • AI plan works at all 3 Pueblo Bonito properties — Sunset Beach, Rosé (Médano), Los Cabos/Blanco (Médano). Shuttle = basically 3 resorts for one price.
  • Sky Pool = signature spot. 250 ft above Pacific, sunset whale-watching in winter, swim-up bar
  • Quivira Golf Club (Jack Nicklaus) is on-site · complimentary golf shuttle · green fees extra
  • Celiac/GF: no formal program — staff accommodate on request but no dedicated prep area. Bring safe food if strict.
